The planner lives in Trukks. The technician, the salesperson and the project manager live in Outlook. Until now someone has had to hold the two worlds together by hand — a copied time slot, a forwarded email, a call from the van on the way to the customer. Now Trukks does it instead: one plan, visible in both calendars, all the time.
What syncs
- Planned work orders become calendar events. Customer, address, time, order number — and a link straight back to the order in Trukks. The technician opens the job from the calendar without searching for it.
- Changes travel both ways. Move the order in the schedule and the event moves in Outlook — move the event in Outlook and the order follows it back.
- Per user, not per company. Everyone connects their own calendar and sees their own jobs. No shared calendars to keep tidy, and nobody sees more than their own.
- Cancelled means cancelled. Delete or cancel the order and the event disappears. No ghost booking left in the calendar next week.
What it changes in the work
Misunderstandings almost always start in the gap between two systems: the schedule has moved the job, the calendar still shows the old time. When both directions sync, the gap closes — and with it the most common reason for a wasted trip.
It shows in the tone towards the customer, too. Technicians who see the day's jobs in their normal calendar, address and contact person included, do not have to call in to ask what is on. The time that went to calendar upkeep goes to the job instead.
